A “Both-And” approach to

INTERFAITH WEDDINGS

Weddings are about love and attachment. The central aspect of all weddings are the vows and the commitment to being married. These are the core constructions, the foundations of my work in building lasting marriages for interfaith couples.

How To Make Interfaith Weddings Work

Before planning a wedding, we undertake pre-counseling workshops. Together we explore the couple’s conflicts, their relationship and their aspirations.

Together we examine the couple’s conflicts, their relationship and their aspirations.

1

Pre-marital sessions focus on helping to co-create a religious life together and affirming what’s possible when two individuals from two different religious backgrounds come together.

2

Couples find clarity in the vision of their wedding ceremony. They discover how both their backgrounds can be honored in their wedding ceremony, and planning gets underway.

3

Assuage the nerves that can plague interfaith relationships

Resolve your concerns about:

  • Offending parents, grandparents and other family

  • What the structure of the service will be

  • What will and will not be included in the service

  • Religious aspects of the service

Find comfort in knowing that these statements represent discussions to have, not problems to solve.
